About Gigabooks:

Gigabooks is owned by me, Chet Novicki, the author of The Perfect Binding Handbook and the developer of the Gigabooks Hand Binding Presses. We are located in Ft. Meade, Florida, which is in the central part of the state, about 40 miles east of Tampa and about 60 miles southwest of Orlando. We are strictly an online company and are not open to the public. We've been around since the beginning of 1997, when I decided to share this method of binding paperback books with the world by publishing the above-mentioned book.

About Chet Novicki (me), the owner of Gigabooks:

Hmm, let's see. I'm a white male of European descent (Polish and Irish, mainly), 66 years old as of April 16, 2007, married (to the same woman since 1964!) with two grown sons. My wife and I recently (July 2005) moved to Florida from Honolulu, Hawaii, where we lived since 1967. Before that I lived in a variety of places, including Fayetteville, NC (I was in the US Army, stationed at Fort Bragg, back in the 60s), Monterey, CA, and Japan. I was born in Laconia, NH and grew up there and in Castro Valley, CA, which is in the Bay Area. I've been writing all my life, and was first published in the St. John's Grammar School (Laconia, NH) school newspaper, which published my story, The Secret of The Universe, when I was in the 3rd grade. My first professional sale was in the 70s, a humorous short story to the men's magazine Nugget. I'm a graduate of the University of Hawaii with a degree in Psychology. Like many writers, I've had a variety of jobs, ranging from truck driver to Chinese Mandarin linguist for the US government. At some point in the future I intend to put a picture of myself on this page.
