Gigabooks now carries Power Poxy Stix-On Contact Cement. This is the same glue (technically, it's an adhesive, I guess) recommended in pre-November 8, 2002 versions of The Perfect Binding Handbook as ACE All-Purpose Contact Cement, however ACE has switched manufacturers and you can no longer get this glue from ACE stores. What makes this glue so unique is that it sets in 2 minutes!! That's right, this glue sets up in about 2 minutes, so you can easily bind one book in less than 5 minutes. It comes in tubes of 1 fluid ounce (enough to do 2-3 dozen average size books).
Some straight talk - This glue may be available right in your hometown, at your nearby hardware store, or elsewhere online. If it is, it will certainly be a lot cheaper to get it there than it will be to buy it from a small company like Gigabooks, or anywhere else online. So look around. I'm carrying this mainly as a convenience for my customers. If you can't get it anywhere else, as a last resort you can get it from Gigabooks. Also, because of the fast setup time when using this glue, you have no time to waste - you have to get this glue spread around in a hurry. For this reason, this glue may not be the best glue for beginners.
